The chapel of peace

Two people associated with Uppsala Cathedral are particularly worthy of remembrance for their contributions towards world peace. They both received the Nobel peace prize:

Dag Hammarsköld, General Secretary of the United Nations, was born and grew up in Uppsala. In 1961 his funeral was held in the Cathedral and he is buried at the Old Cemetery. Nathan Söderblom, archbishop.
